A Fantastic 40's Affair...

Kay and Juan approached me nearly a year ago about doing their wedding photography. I had already photographed weddings for a couple of their friends, so they knew my style and I knew that the people I had worked with from their church were amazing. Kind, generous, fun loving and laid back, the kind of people that you want to have as clients. When they told me that they were planning a 1940's Glam themed wedding I was ecstatic. Anyone who knows me on a personal level knows that I adore 40's and 50's fashion. My closet is filled with retro style dresses and my house is furnished with a lot of vintage finds, so this was right up my alley. We immediately did their engagement session, complete with three outfits (40's casual, dress and "mobster" attire) and then Kay and I met at a local mansion for her bridal and boudoir shoot. Both of those sessions were fun filled and I got a great many photos that I loved. I was so stoked on the wedding day that I rented the 70-200 that I've been lusting after for years and arrived at the church. The bride, groom and bridal party all looked gorgeous. The ceremony was sweet and heartfelt and the reception was a blast. I left thinking that weddings like Kay and Juan's are the reason I'm in this business and was very glad. Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Sharp.

Misty and Kenneth

I have known Misty for a couple years now and I can honestly say she is one of the most upbeat, sweetest people I've ever met. She is that ray of sunshine that people talk about. Although I don't know Kenneth quite as well, he seems to be just as kind hearted and down to earth. It's obvious that this is a couple who adore one another and care a lot about making each other happy. You see, Misty and Kenneth are a bit different from one another. She loves to dress up and has a wardrobe I'm very envious of. Kenneth likes jeans and tee shirts. He wore his "fancy" sneakers for the photo session. He likes to fish and she tags along to support him. She talks about the adorable ideas she she found on Pinterest and he listens. They take care of one another and I'm sure they will have a long and happy life together. The wedding is in a couple of months. Misty has already shared quite a few of her wedding day ideas with me and it's going to be fabulous.

Allison & Trey

I recently did a session that I can only describe as awesome. Not only do I love the bride and groom, but the locations rocked. Allison and Trey are both big fans of Clemson and beer. So those two things were definitely the theme of the day. We started off at a local brewery, hit a park, a little craft beer store and ended the afternoon with a cold drink at a local place with sidewalk seating. Despite the strong winds and slightly chilly temperatures, I didn't want to go home at the end of the session, I was having too much fun just hanging out with them. I cannot wait to work with Allison and Trey again in the future!

Kay at The Duncan Estate

A few weeks ago I photographed one of the most beautiful brides that I've ever seen. Kay is so sweet and modest, yet she poses like a pro. Her sense of style and her grace are enviable. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to work with her for her engagement and bridal sessions and on her wedding day. Her bridal session was especially fun, as we had a fantastic background- a local wedding venue, The Duncan Estate.

Brides, babies and kids! Oh my!

This year has been crazy busy, both photographically speaking and on a personal level. Both of my kids and I have been running constantly. There has been school, tutoring, yoga classes, riding lessons and dog rescue, with a heap of fun times with friends thrown in for good measure. I've also been able to let me creative side show quite a bit with all of the fun photo sessions that I've had. Babies first year portraits, children's Valentine pictures and a couple of gorgeous brides to round things out. Hope you all enjoy the pictures!
